Merry Christmas!!!

The most celebrated season of the year. Around the world people finds time to gather and enjoy this joyous day. We saved this day as an extra special compared to the others.

How do you celebrate Christmas? Is it by taking a family vacation trip, having fun caroling in the neighborhood, by wrapping gifts for your loved ones, or by organizing charity events for our fellowmen.

Indeed, so many ways to spend this once a year merry event, but often we forgot its true meaning. Often adults look at it as the time to received cash gifts and bonuses and to buy “something new materials”. The concept is being passed on to the younger generation most of the time. It is being inculcated on their innocent mind that yuletide season is about money and materials. We forgot to share to them the true spirit of Christmas on a more mature and responsible level.

What is the true essence of Christmas? Do we really appreciate its main soul of celebration?

The yuletide season is perhaps the happiest season in this our predominantly Christian country. To feel the presence of Christmas season people adorn houses, streets, and nearby surroundings with Christmas tree, colorful light bulbs, Belen and other decorative materials. We even have customized songs intended for the season. The long month celebration is coupled with a “9 days simbang gabi” an early morning dawn mass. On the ninth day a celebration of Misa de Gallo, a midnight mass conducted on the Christmas day itself. The simple festivity is a meaningful commemoration. The Christmas observance is mostly seen among Christians all over the world.

Christmas season is purely an intangible, something that cannot be counted nor weighed but has a great impact on the human heart. It is simply defined as the time of giving whether small or big for as long as given freely. It maybe is the moment of forgiveness, giving pardon to something wrongly done. It is also a time of gratitude for the graces received for the whole year around.

Moreover, it is important that during the celebration we first cleanse our minds and heart as we start another season in our lives. A clean mind means a direct and clear disposition on every action. Thus, a clean heart is humbleness and free from anger towards other people.

The preparation and celebration is a way of returning to the Lord what He has done for us.

Have a joyous and blessed celebration on this yuletide season……God bless us all!!

Life’s Purpose

Have you question yourself about your purpose on earth? Why do I exist and what am I here for? Definitely these questions bother us during a moment of disappointments, frustrations, and lonesome.

The search for the purpose of life has puzzled people for thousands of years. We disregard the idea because we focus our minds on our ambitions, goals, dreams and our future which often mislead to the true meaning of life.

Life is all about God.

The purpose of our life is not all about your personal attributes, achievements or even your own happiness. It’s doesn’t even define about your family, your career or your talent, in other words it it’s not about you.

More often we are busy conceptualizing our action towards our personal goals. These mind set-ups sometimes lead us the wrong path but still pursuing for the sake of our ambitions. Our perceptions about life tend to develop selfishness, because of the understanding that life’s happiness is all about money and power.

Yes, money and power might give people satisfaction that will last for a number of years but eventually fade as time goes by. How many testimonies I have heard about obtaining success on their chosen fields or even being at the top among many famous and rich individuals all over the world but still find emptiness within them at the end of the day. Their stories are an example of what life is all about, or even us can proved to the world that though you may have something achieved but still you longed for something, something that material thing cannot offer.

We sometimes neglect our Creator due to our earthly aspirations having in mind that all those needs and wants can be done alone by ourselves. We want to convince ourselves that we are the all knowing individuals, we disregard Him. We believed that we accomplished through our own effort. These perceptions are geared towards being self centered. Self centered life even lead to disaster and failure.

By not surrendering to the Lord in our daily activities would mean a meaningless life. To find life’s fulfillment on a long term process start all your plans with the Lord. In other words, do not neglect Him; always acknowledge Him in all your ways and in all your paths.

A life of your own, distant from God would eventually describe an unhappy and unsuccessful existence on earth.

A Unique Creation

Yes, most likely everyone are being judged based on physical appearance, family status, and educational background which tend to ignore the basic element of mankind which is the “good heart”. This phenomenon is widely spread due to human’s perception that life is all about material things.

Some people even complain to God about their life, about their present situation for the fear of being isolated in the society where they belong. Because of this thought it sometimes defines how biased people are. The standard of the world sets by people sometimes dictates how everyone reacts and behaves towards their co-existent. These certain circumstances allow us to think how unfair may life is that leads to disappointments and frustrations.

True enough that we cannot conquer one’s mind and sometimes would be difficult to change their perceptions on something that for them is correct and true.

However, everyone must be reminded that God created human beings differently and uniquely. No one on this universe was molded the same as the other except for twins. Each and every individual was created armored with his own talent, intelligence and beauty. Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the minds of God. You are beautifully designed by God to fulfill your purpose on earth. He planned it before you existed, without your input. You were born by his purpose and for his purpose.

We cannot please everyone, and you don’t have to please anyone. Just be yourself because God is happy the way you are. You have to bear in mind that the more you overact the more people will dislike and avoid you. You are born to be a person Gods wants you to be and not to fulfill one’s desire. Be happy of who you are and what you have and do what is good in the eyes of the Lord because everything done in a good way is for His glory. The joyful and content you are the more it pleases our Creator. Those earthly creations are just passers by, as time flies it withered, died and gone but the Lord is with us forever until the next life. Remember you are made by God and for God alone.

We should bear in mind that no matter what it takes we have no right to argue with our creator, as the say “You are merely a clay pot shaped by a potter and the clay doesn’t ask, why you made me this way?”

I may like you I may not, you may like me you may not but then I am who I am and you are who you are for a reason……a unique creation of God.
